
Clinical Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a gentle and effective way to make the positive changes you want in your life because it can directly speak to your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is very powerful. It is responsible for all of the programming that “manages” your body such as telling you when to eat, when to be afraid and when to sleep. It is in control of functions we don’t pay attention to such as breathing and digesting food and a zillion other important activities that we don’t pay any attention to. Its role is to keep you alive and to keep you safe.
However, sometimes it misunderstands and creates a program that becomes a problem. An example of this is when you were growing up your parents or grandparents rewarded you with treats. These treats made you happy and when you ate them you felt safe. As a result, your subconscious mind now interprets treats as something that makes you feel happy and safe and therefore it encourages you to eat more treats. Can you see how this “program” can become the basis of emotional eating and problems with weight?
Hypnotherapy allows a conversation with the subconscious so that it can "upgrade" those programs created in your subconscious mind so that you can achieve the positive changes you want in your life.
What is hypnotherapy good for?
Addictions Reprogramming the subconscious belief so that the addiction no longer has control over your life. Addictions include alcohol, drugs, shopping, gambling, pornography, sugar or anything else that is negatively controlling your life.
Emotional/Psychological Hypnotherapy is very effective in interrupting the habit of a particular feeling such as depression or anxiety by calming the overwhelm which provides relief.
Sleep Issues Hypnotherapy is able to “recalibrate” your circadian rhythm so that you will be able to go to sleep easily and naturally and sleep all the way through the night.
Relationship Issues Hypnotherapy can be a powerful modality for gently healing wounds such as abandonment and other issues that are usually the core reason for problems experienced in relationships.
Personal Empowerment Hypnotherapy is a wonderful powerful tool that can reprogram limiting beliefs (such as not being good enough, to issues with abundance and success) that have prevented us from living the life we want to as well as being able to motivate and to boost self-confidence.
Phobias It is logical and even good to be afraid of things that have the potential to hurt you but sometimes a phobia becomes a problem – such as fear of flying. Hypnotherapy is able to easily reprogram that fear so that it is helpful (such as staying away from poisonous snakes) and manageable.
What to expect
A Clinical Hypnotherapy is a wonderfully relaxing experience. I will take the time to understand your unique problem and thought patterns so that I can personalise your therapy. Once in my “magic chair” you will be guided by my voice into a very relaxed trance state so that the magic can take place. Each session takes 1 hour and will address one specific issue per session.
Please note that whilst you will be in a very relaxed, dreamy state, you will have control and be able to get up at any time.
